KK trip day 6 - rafting in Kiulu River

18th July 2008

There are two rivers in Sabah for white water rafting, Padas and Kiulu river. Since our trip has three girls and one guy. The Kiulu River is suited to us because it is certified as grade 1 and grade 2 based on international white water rafting grading system. These grades are suitable for beginners. Kiulu River is located on the northeastern part of Sabah, recognized as being the second most beautiful village in Malaysia.

A professional raft guide will give a safety briefing, demonstration rafting techniques and proper handling of rafting equipment before rafting commences.

That day was a good weather for rafting. The river level was high hence the trip covers up to 15km of journey that took 1 1/2 hours to reach the ending point. We having our delicious lunch at end point station.

I was so excited because this was my first time. I strongly recommended white water rafting in Sabah to everyone. If i have a second change to Sabah, i think i will select Padas river for rafting.

My both legs got sunburn due to my laziness to put sun block on my legs.
